Vacation Destinations:

Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic

Jamaica Vacations

Ya Mon! Come to Jamaica and Feel All Right isn’t just a slogan. You will never forget this island paradise (average daytime temp 80°F) where reggae, romance and the Caribbean sun come together. The three distinct regions of Jamaica (Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios) each have their own personality.

Montego Bay, just minutes from the airport, is Jamaica’s tourism capital; a seaside port city that’s not like anywhere else you’ve ever visited! Stay here and experience the energy of this vibrant city, take a more relaxing spring break vacation at the world-famous Seven Mile Beach in Negril or discover the gorgeous scenery in Ocho Rios.

Negril, the “capital of casual” located on the western tip of Jamaica, is a favorite spot to view the sun sinking into the ocean. Swim among dolphins, find breathtaking waterfalls, expansive beaches, tropical gardens, and fern gullies; if you’re up to the climb, the 700-foot cascading waterfalls at Dunns River Falls beckon. Depending on your tastes, your Jamaican vacation activities can include horseback riding, polo, golf, tennis, shopping, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, sailing and surfing, rafting, swimming and sunbathing on gorgeous beaches. Add shopping and fabulous dining to the list!

For a laid-back Caribbean experience like no other, choose any of these self-contained beachfront vacation villages with an abundant array of included amenities and dining options. Jamaica is famous for its outstanding super all-inclusive resorts.

Mexico Vacations

Cancun

Surrounded on three sides (ocean, lagoon and bay), Cancun (average temp is 80°F) enjoys more than 240 days of sunshine every year. Envisioned and created as a vacation paradise, it’s Mexico's most-visited destination. Cancun boasts some of the world's best beaches with wide expanses of sugar white sand that seem to go on forever. Find an underwater paradise as you go snorkeling; or just relax overlooking the crystalline waters of the Caribbean.

If you love to shop, you’ll find choices ranging from colorful street markets to some of the world’s most exclusive boutiques within walking distance of your hotel. Add the exciting nightlife and diverse cuisine and you’ll never want to leave.

Riviera Maya

About a hundred miles south of Cancun, you’ll find new resorts within site of thousand-year-old Mayan cultural sites. Explore the ruins and learn about this ancient and fascinating culture. Then take a swim in a freshwater pool (called a cenote) that brings water from underground limestone caverns to the surface. If you prefer, relax in a seaside hammock or play in the powder-white sand beaches that stay cool by reflecting the heat of the tropical sun.

Snorkel in the clear waters at Xel-Ha´s natural aquarium, or hike through Xcaret eco-archaeological park. Find adventure in whatever activities you choose.

Cabo San Lucas

If the site of a magnificent mountain desert disappearing into the cobalt blue Pacific Ocean is your idea of bliss, then Cabo San Lucas is your ideal destination. With more than 300 days of annual sunshine and less than 10 inches of annual rainfall, the spring’s temperature is typically 80°F.

You might spend a day deep sea fishing in the marlin capital of the world or go sailing or kayaking past the famous Land's End rock formations. With a little luck, you might spot seals, whales or even a regatta race. Golfers delight the challenge of a world-class course while beaches* beckon sunbathers. As evening approaches, prepare for an amazing meal and dancing at a variety of restaurants, clubs, discos, and bars.

*Note that while gorgeous, some beaches are not swimmable because of high waves and strong currents. Many beaches are calmer and offer jet skiing, scuba diving, parasailing and surfing.

Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit

Puerto Vallarta is comprised of two major resort areas - Puerto Vallarta to the south and Riviera Nayarit to the north. Within each, you'll find a unique destination with its very own personality and charm. Tucked between the picturesque Sierra Madre Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Puerto Vallarta combines modern amenities and old-world charm with an average daytime high temperature of 86°F from January through April and 92°F from May through December. Once named the “Friendliest City in the World,” Puerto Vallarta is a jewel among Mexico vacation destinations.

Choose activities as diverse as whale watching in Banderas Bay (December through April), mountain biking the hills, and strolling cobblestone streets to visit art galleries, cathedrals, open-air cafes and boutiques. Go scuba-diving or sailing, relax on the golden beaches or show off your dance moves at any of the many clubs. Golfers will find championship courses.

Riviera Nayarit, north of Puerto Vallarta, takes pride in its spectacular views of the mountains, white coral beaches and one of the most diverse ecosystems in Mexico. With new luxury resorts stretching 100 miles along Banderas Bay, you may choose to swim, soak up the sun or play along the serene beaches. Visit wildlife sanctuaries and quiet fishing villages. Challenge your skills on a world class golf course, or visit their new water park! Whatever you do, you’re sure to catch a glimpse of authentic Mexico while visiting Riviera Nayarit.

Dominican Republic Vacations

Located on the eastern shore of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana's warm climate and mix of cultures allow you to fill every day and night with something new. Whether snorkeling, merengue dancing, visiting exotic markets, exploring the rainforest, relaxing by a jungle waterfall, or golfing* is your idea of paradise, you’ll never want to leave. Punta Cana, with a year-round daytime temperature that averages 82° F and miles of pristine sugar sand beaches and the longest continuous coral reef in the region, is the fastest growing hot spot in the Caribbean.

See the charm of Dominican culture as you enjoy the modern, luxurious all-inclusive resorts. Punta Cana is ideal for those who want to relax within the confines of their massive hotel, and bask in the gentle surf and vibrant blue-green waters of the Caribbean.

It’s so easy to get here—stunning Bavaro beach and most beachfront hotels are less than 30 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and approximately 3 hours from the Santo Domingo International Airport (SDQ).

*The Dominican Republic was named the 2008 'Golf Destination of the Year for the Caribbean and Latin America' by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).

Activities mentioned may not be located on resort property or be part of your all-inclusive package. The hotels we recommend to high school students are all inclusive resorts that have plenty of activities, so you won’t ever have to leave the resort. If you do decide to leave the resort area, we recommend doing so under the supervision of your accompanying chaperones.
